Gucci recently unveiled some new items added to Gucci
Decor, a collection of furniture and decorative pieces. The collection
includes home scents, mugs, cushions and trays and folding tables. All
Decor pieces are designed to personalize the home.
“Designed
by Alessandro Michele, the collection of furniture and decorative
pieces features new designs. The lineup includes vases produced by
Richard Ginori, capitonne porter’s chairs, vinyl and silk printed
wallpapers and folding metal tables featuring the House’s latest
motifs,” says the Gucci website.
Scented candles in
porcelain jars, lacquered chairs upholstered with embroidered seats, and
double-sided screens crafted in wood and velvet are also part of the
collection.
Inventum, “Urtica Ferox” candle also finds
its place in the collection. It is nothing but a collection of scented
candles that is embellished with motifs of the House. “A blend of wax
infused with aromatic extracts and essential oils is presented in a
purple Richard Ginori porcelain holder. A reference to the invitation to
the Cruise 2018 fashion show, which unfolded inside seven rooms of the
Palatine Gallery in Pitti Palace. The words ‘Urtica Ferox’ — Latin for
‘tree nettle’— encircle the cup. The scent, Inventum, infuses the space
with delicate notes of Taif’s ancient Damask rose, which set a relaxed
and intimate mood,” says the website. It’s made in Italy.
There
are also the vases produced by Richard Ginori, the renowned Florentine
company founded in 1735. The capitonne porter’s chair is upholstered in
leather or velvet, with a drawer at the bottom — inspired by the
high-backed and canopy-covered chairs used in England, and later in 16th
century France. A range of unconventional wallpapers are printed on
vinyl, paper, or silk.
As per the website, Inventum
Broche Candle is also one of the elements of the collection. It is a
blend of wax infused with aromatic extracts and essential oils and is
presented in Richard Ginori porcelain featuring a mini broche motif from
the ready-to-wear collection. The scent, Inventum, infuses the space
with delicate notes of Taif’s ancient Damask rose, which set a relaxed
and intimate mood. It is also made in Italy.
“A
collection of mugs is also embellished with motifs inspired by the House
aesthetic. The lid is topped with a hand holding a ring — a recurring
design seen throughout the collection. Available as a single piece, the
mug can be matched with the same style, or coordinating styles from the
collection,” says the website.
